You might be shocked to hear that Ricky Groves is now a professional kids’ entertainer. Yes, you read that correctly: the man who once had explosive rows in the Queen Vic now spends his days making children laugh at birthday parties!
He performs as “Ricky the Jester”, complete with juggling, magic tricks, and balloon animals. Honestly, can you imagine a better career pivot? It’s pure joy, and it’s a masterclass in not taking yourself too seriously.
Why This Matters (And Why It Makes Life More Fun)
Here’s the thing: we all worry about our “next act.” Do we stick with a path that no longer fits? Do we cling to past glory? Ricky’s choice is a wonderful, silly middle finger to all that pressure.
He didn’t chase Hollywood. He didn’t do a sad reality show. He chose balloon animals and silly hats—and he seems genuinely thrilled about it. That’s a lesson for all of us: your next chapter can be completely bonkers and totally joyful.
