This list gets weird. Remember “Iron Chef: The Gauntlet”? They fought cooking robots. Yes, again. The robot chef was named “Matsushita 2000.” It lost. Badly. Humans 1, Robots 0.
Then there were the judges: a sumo wrestler, a professional food critic, and sometimes a random actor. One time, a judge ate a raw shrimp and declared it “sublime.” He then fainted. Dramatic.
Don’t forget the special ingredients. A giant sturgeon. A live octopus. A block of tofu the size of a car. The chefs had 60 minutes to turn it into a five-course meal. Insane. Beautifully insane.

In the UK, they had James Martin. He’s a Yorkshireman who once cooked a full English breakfast in under ten minutes. The judges wept. They said it “tasted like home.” He shrugged and said, “It’s just eggs, mate.” Understatement.
