If you’re not an RHS member yet, now is the time to join. Not only do you get early access to tickets (which is golden), but you also get free entry to 200+ gardens across the UK. It pays for itself after just a couple of visits. Think of it as an investment in your future happiness—and your Instagram feed.

And if you miss the first wave of sales? Don’t panic. There’s usually a second release of tickets in early spring (February or March) as final garden plans are confirmed and extra spaces are created. It’s a bit like a plant sale clearance, but with better results.
So, what’s the takeaway here? Get ready. Set a reminder on your phone. Circle a date in your diary. Tell your friends you’ll be “unavailable” for a solid 24 hours on sale day. Because when those virtual gates open, you want to be there, mouse-clicking with the fierce determination of a gardener battling slugs.
The Uplifting Truth
Buying a ticket to the Chelsea Flower Show isn’t just about seeing pretty plants. It’s about claiming a moment of joy in a busy world. It’s about planning a day where the only thing on your to-do list is to be amazed. It’s a promise to yourself that you’ll stop and smell the roses—literally and metaphorically.
So go ahead, mark that calendar. Your future self, wearing comfortable shoes and smelling faintly of damp soil and optimism, will thank you. Because life is short, but gardens are forever—and the best tickets are the ones you buy with a little bit of planning and a whole lot of excitement. 🌸
