Well, it’s not just from sitting in a big red chair and making James Corden squirm—though that certainly helps. Norton’s fortune comes from a three-pronged attack of television, radio, and book deals. It’s like a financial trifecta, but with more sequins and dirty jokes.
First, there’s The Graham Norton Show. This gig is the golden goose. He’s been hosting it since 2007, and it’s now a global brand. The BBC pays him handsomely—reports say he earns around £2 million a year just for the chat show. And that’s before you factor in the international syndication. That show appears on screens in the US, Australia, and practically everywhere people speak English and appreciate a good double entendre.
Then, there’s his radio career. Graham hosts a weekend show on Virgin Radio, and it’s pure gold. He just plays songs, chats with callers, and occasionally has a giggle fit. For that, he picks up another hefty paycheck. Oh, and he also does the Eurovision commentary. Yes, the man who makes fun of glittery costumes for five straight hours gets paid for that, too. What a world!
The Books, The Tours, The Real Estate
Graham has also written a few books, including his autobiography So Me. Did they sell well? You bet your sofa they did. He’s also done stand-up tours, though he’s admitted he’s not a huge fan of the grind. But when you’re worth millions, you can afford to be picky about your gigs. He’s basically the only person who can say, “No thanks, I don’t feel like touring,” and mean it without worrying about the mortgage.
And let’s talk about his house. Graham owns a stunning property in London, plus a holiday home in Ireland. The man doesn’t just have a home; he has a sprawling, stylish retreat where he throws legendary parties. You know the ones—where you see photos of him, Elton John, and a random Oscar winner all laughing by a fire. That lifestyle isn’t cheap, but for Graham, it’s just a Tuesday.
