Get ready to do the math. The matches will kick off across three different time zones: Eastern, Central, Pacific, and even Mountain. For us in Britain, that’s a five-hour to eight-hour difference. Remember when England won in 1966? We don’t. But we will remember the 4 AM alarm clocks for the 2026 final.
Here’s the funny bit: a game in Los Angeles at 1 PM local time means a 9 PM kickoff in the UK. Perfect for tea and snacks. But a game in Seattle at 7 PM local? That’s 3 AM in London. You’ll be watching the highlights over your morning cornflakes. It’s like the tournament is trolling us.
When to Set Your Alarm
Let’s break it down. Pacific Time (San Francisco, LA) is eight hours behind. So a 12 PM game there is 8 PM here. Nice and cozy. But Mountain Time (Denver) is seven hours behind. A 6 PM match? That’s 1 AM. Quirky fact: you’ll become a nocturnal football expert by the knockout rounds.
Then there’s Central Time (Chicago, Dallas) at six hours behind. A 3 PM kickoff is 9 PM here. Perfect for a midweek viewing party. And finally, Eastern Time (New York, Boston) is five hours behind. A 10 AM game? That’s 3 PM for us. You can watch it during your lunch break and pretend to work.
