Every time I rewatch the show, I pretend Will faked his death. He’s in Fiji, sipping tequila, laughing at us. It’s a coping mechanism. Don’t judge.
The real lesson? Don’t get too attached to fictional lawyers. They’ll betray you faster than a partner embezzling funds.
But seriously, if you need me, I’ll be in the corner, listening to that voicemail on repeat. Will Gardner deserved better. And so did we.
One Last Coffee Date Thought
Do you think he would have survived if Alicia had picked up the phone? Probably not. But it’s nice to imagine a timeline where they ran away together, leaving all the legal drama behind.
Alas, that’s not the show we got. We got a brilliant, brutal, unforgettable death. And a scar that still aches, years later.
So here’s to Will Gardner. The man who made law look sexy, messy, and absolutely worth fighting for. Even if the fight ended with a bullet.
Pass the tissues, friend. We’re in this forever.
