Here’s the uplifting part: King’s Cross will open again. Usually by tomorrow, sometimes by this afternoon. The trains will start rolling, the platform announcements will shout again, and you’ll be on your way. The universe will uncross its arms.
When you finally board that train—hours late but still alive—you’ll experience a tiny surge of victory. You survived the chaos. You didn’t cry in public. You might have even smiled at a stranger who also looked lost. Connection, baby.
So next time someone asks, “Why is King’s Cross Station closed today?” just smile knowingly, sip your now-cold coffee, and say, “It’s not closed. It’s just taking a deep breath before it becomes truly legendary.” And it will. And so will you. Cheers to the journey, even when it’s messy.
