So, will it ever stop raining? Yes, probably. Eventually. The jet stream will get bored and move on, like a grumpy teenager who’s lost interest in a video game. The sun will come back, and when it does, we will all collectively gasp and forget how to drive in the glare.
Until then, remember this: the rain makes the sun so much sweeter. It’s the yin to our yang, the soggy chip to our perfect fish. We’re British. We don’t melt. We adapt. We complain. We make tea. And then we get on with it, one soggy step at a time.
So grab a cuppa, put on your favourite jumper, and listen to that lovely, rhythmic pitter-patter. The UK is just having a long, cleansing shower. And when it’s done, we’ll all shine a little brighter. Probably. Now, where did I put that umbrella?
