When the candidate gets that final reprimand and packs their briefcase, it’s a masterclass in awkward silence. You can hear a pin drop, or in this case, a delusional candidate insisting they’re the best thing since sliced bread. It’s like watching someone try to convince a Tinder date they’re a professional astronaut when they’ve never left the state.
First Apprentice 2026 candidate is fired by Lord Sugar tonight
Lord Sugar (or whoever is in charge) gives the verdict with the cold precision of a surgeon removing a wart. He says, “You’re fired,” with less emotion than you have when ordering a pizza. Ouch.
The fired person then does the walk of shame, past the other candidates who are both relieved and terrified. It’s the same look you get when you’re the last person left at a party after everyone else cleverly disappeared. You know you’re about to help clean up the mess.
The Aftermath: Relatable Regret
Once they’re in the taxi, the real drama begins. They usually say something like, “I have no regrets,” but you can see their soul crying out, “I HAVE SO MANY REGRETS.” It’s like when you say you’re “fine” after a bad haircut, but you’re already planning to buy a hat for the next month.
And let’s not forget the ones who get fired for the silliest things. Maybe they fell asleep during a task or called a client the wrong name. It’s the corporate equivalent of tripping over your own feet in front of a crush. You just want to rewind time and yell, “Stop! Don’t do it!”
The truth is, we watch because we see a bit of our own work blunders in these people. We’ve all had a Monday that felt like a boardroom firing. The show just makes it look way more entertaining, with better lighting and a nicer car waiting outside.
