So, who are the two senators from Texas? They’re John Cornyn and Ted Cruz: a duo that proves even opposites can share a Lone Star flag. One is the steady hand; the other is the spark. Together, they remind us that democracy isn’t about agreement—it’s about showing up, speaking your mind, and sometimes reading children’s books on the Senate floor at 2 a.m.
And here’s the beautiful part: no matter how heated things get, they both call Texas home. They breathe the same big sky, eat the same jalapeño-infused everything, and root for the same Friday night lights. That’s the real Texas spirit—finding common ground in the vast, weird, wonderful mess of it all.
So next time you see their names in the news, smile. Remember that two very different humans are out there, squabbling and compromising, all for a state that’s too big to ignore. And if you ever meet them? Buy Cornyn a coffee and Cruz a book of Seuss. Then thank them for making Texas politics just a little bit entertaining.
