Game 3 of the World Series is wherever the lower-seeded team plays. Always has been, always will be—until MLB decides to play Game 7 in Tokyo for ratings. (Don’t give them ideas, please.) So, if you’re watching tonight and the stadium is full of fans holding signs that say “We Believe,” you’re likely in a city that hasn’t won a title since the Reagan administration. Or, if you see a lot of empty seats, it’s probably October and raining. Sorry, Cleveland.
And Dave? He eventually found his remote under the couch cushion. He’s now watching Game 3 from his living room, in his team’s city, while I type this. You can be like Dave, but less frantic. Just remember: it’s not a secret location. It’s just baseball. Now go grab a hot dog—and maybe an extra napkin for the irony.
