Think about your own life. Ever been judged because of how you look or where you come from? That’s Elphaba’s story. And ever had a friend who was a little too perfect (like Glinda), but deep down, they had your back? That’s the movie.
The first film ended on a massive cliffhanger. It’s like stopping a TV show right before the season finale. You’re left shouting “No! That can’t be it!” at your screen. The second part promises to resolve that frustration.
We’ll finally see Elphaba’s journey to becoming the so-called “Wicked Witch.” We’ll sing along to Defying Gravity again, but this time with even more emotional punch. It’s like hearing your favorite song on the radio right when you need it most.
The Little Details That Matter
Director Jon M. Chu has said the second film will delve deeper into the characters’ emotions. Expect tears, laughter, and some truly spectacular songs. It’s like adding extra cheese to a pizza—everything just gets better.
And yes, the costumes will be even more stunning. Think of it as the fashion show that never ends, but with more magic and fewer awkward runway walks. You’ll want to dress up just to watch it at home.
The cast is also back for more. Cynthia and Ariana have amazing chemistry. It’s like watching two best friends who are also professional dancers—effortless and joyful. That’s rare in Hollywood these days.
