Oh, you sweet summer child. You think that’s a minor problem? Missing the first minute of a final is like skipping the first chapter of a thriller. You’ll spend the whole game wondering, “Wait, why is that guy crying?”
Here’s the thing: the actual kickoff might be 8:01 PM or 8:02 PM, because TV loves a dramatic pause. But don’t gamble. Be in your seat at 7:59. Trust me. I once missed a goal in the first 30 seconds of a final. I still get flashbacks.
The Global Time Zone Trap
Let’s be real here: time zones are the enemy of fun. If you’re in New York, the game starts at 3 PM. That’s perfect. You can watch it live, then go outside and pretend you have a life. If you’re in Los Angeles, it’s noon. That’s brunch-time football. Wear sunglasses indoors. It’s a vibe.
But if you’re in Tokyo? That’s 4:00 AM Monday. My friend, you are insane. But I respect it. You’ll be watching alone in the dark, whispering “goooooal” so you don’t wake the neighbors. You are the champion of sleep deprivation.
Euro 2026 final: Date, kick-off time, TV channel and England vs Spain
And for my people in Brazil? It’s 4:00 PM. That’s a beautiful afternoon. Perfect for a caipirinha and some questionable dance moves after a goal.
