Sunday is the results show. That’s where the magic—and the drama—really happens. Saturday is for the sparkles and the high kicks; Sunday is for the tension.
You watch the couples dance again, but this time with a little more sweat and a lot more nerves. Then the judges critique them again, because why not? And then, the vote is announced. Cue the fake smiles and the “I’m just happy to be here” speeches.
But here’s the fun part: the Sunday show is usually shorter. It’s like the director’s cut, but with more sequins and fewer outtakes. You get the elimination, a musical performance from a pop star you vaguely remember, and maybe a pro dance that makes you wonder why you ever tried to foxtrot in your kitchen.
When to panic (and when to chill)
If you tune in at 7:15 and see a golf tournament, do not panic. Check your TV guide app. Strictly is a BBC One staple, but sometimes live sports can push it to BBC Two for a bit.
Think of it as a mini game of “Where’s Shirley?” Except Shirley Ballas is always there, in a stunning dress, judging your sofa-surfing skills from afar. You’ll find her eventually.

Also, if you’re in a different time zone—hello, international fans!—the struggle is real. You might need to set three alarms. One for the show, one for the snacks, and one to remind you to mute the BBC iPlayer spoilers on Twitter.
