Here’s the kicker: Michigan doesn’t have a single, fixed time slot. Shocking, I know. The game time is a wild card, dictated by the whims of the TV networks and the football gods. They love to keep us on edge.
Some Saturdays you wake up, and it’s a noon kickoff—bright, early, and crisp. Other weeks, you’re waiting until 3:30 PM, which feels like an eternity. And then there are the prime-time games at 7:30 PM or later. Those are for the true night owls and people who don’t mind eating dinner at 10 p.m.
How to Actually Find Out (Without Losing Your Mind)
You need a game plan. Don’t just Google “Michigan football time” on game day morning—that’s risky. The trick is to know when the schedule gets set. Usually, it’s announced 12 days before the game. Circle that on your calendar, then cry a little.
The best place to check: the official Michigan Athletics website. Or, if you’re lazy like me, follow a reliable sports app. ESPN, CBS, or Fox sports apps—they’ll tell you before your friends do. But wait, there’s a catch.
Sometimes, the networks pull a six-day hold—meaning they don’t announce the time until just six days before. Yes, it’s cruel. It’s designed to make you refresh your browser until your thumb cramps up. Welcome to college football.
