Most Lions games kick off at 1:00 PM Eastern on Sundays. That’s the default. The boring, reliable, “set your coffee maker” time. But Detroit is a primetime drama queen.
They also play Sundays at 4:25 PM, prime time Sunday Night Football (8:20 PM), Monday Night Football (8:15 PM), and the occasional Thursday Night Football (also 8:15 PM). Oh, and the NFL loves flexing games—changing the time with 12 days notice. It’s like scheduling a dentist appointment, then being told it’s a party. Surprise!
