So, how does this work, you wonder? Well, in Korea, everyone gets a year older on the Lunar New Year, which usually falls in late January or early February. This means that if you were born in, say, December, you'd still turn a year older just a few weeks later, on the Lunar New Year. It's a bit mind-boggling, but trust me, it's a fun way to think about age!
Now, let's talk about BTS V, whose Korean name is Kim Tae-hyung. Born on December 30, 1995, he'd be considered 28 years old in Korea, even though he's only 27 years old in the Western system. Isn't that wild? It just goes to show how different cultural norms can shape our perceptions of time and age.
But here's the thing: understanding Korean age isn't just about numbers; it's about appreciating the unique cultural context that comes with it. By exploring this concept, you'll gain a deeper insight into the values and traditions that make Korea so fascinating. And who knows, you might just find yourself falling in love with the rich heritage and customs of this incredible country!
