Hold your horses—literally—because the show isn’t really over. A Peaky Blinders movie is in the works, set during World War II. So Tommy’s big “retirement” is probably just a vacation until he gets bored and starts smuggling bombers. Expect more lighting of cigarettes, more scowling, and at least one scene where someone gets shot while looking fabulous.
So, what happens at the end of Peaky Blinders? A man, a horse, a fog, and zero apologies. It’s the most Tommy Shelby way to say “I’m out” without actually saying it. Now go re-watch the series and count how many times he whispers “By order of the Peaky Blinders” while looking like he’s about to sneeze.
