Bees are color-obsessed. They love blue, purple, and yellow. They think those colors mean “food!” But black? They see it as darkness or a threat. Black is the color of predators like bears (who are often brown, but dark enough).
Red is basically invisible to bees. They can’t see it well. So wearing a red shirt is like wearing a invisibility cloak, bee-wise. It won’t attract them, but it also won’t repel them—they just ignore you.
Moral of the story: If you want to avoid bee attention, dress like a traffic cone (orange) or a stop sign (red). But maybe don’t stand near actual flowers. They’re not that dumb.
