Norfolk State football is NCAA Division I FCS, competing in the MEAC. It’s top-tier college football, just without the massive media glare. They play for a real playoff championship, not a bowl game named after a hotel chain. And they do it with swagger, with history, and with a community that treats every game like a festival.
Next time you see a Norfolk State highlights reel, don’t ask “Are they Division I?” Instead, ask “Are they ready to shock someone?” Because if you know their division, you know the answer is always yes. (And if you ever need a low-stakes, high-fun Saturday trip, find Price Stadium. I’ll be the one in green face paint.)
