In 2026, a spin-off series called The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finally dropped. It’s all about Rick and Michonne’s reunion. And it is glorious.
What Happened to Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead
The show reveals exactly how Rick escaped the CRM. Spoiler: it involves a lot of blood, a clever trick, and a massive truck. It’s pure walking dead chaos.
We also learn why the CRM is so secretive. They are building a new world, but they are terrible at it. They have a “final solution” plan that is both ridiculous and terrifying.
Why This Is Just Fun
Let’s be honest: the mystery of Rick Grimes is a great bar story. You can tell your friends, “Hey, that guy who killed all those zombies? He’s actually alive and working for a shadow government in a secret city.”
It’s like a soap opera met a zombie movie and had a weird baby. The drama is over-the-top. The logic is loose. But it is so satisfying.
Plus, the actor Andrew Lincoln is a gem. He cries in almost every scene. He gives 110% effort even when fighting a rubber walker. It’s endearing.
