Stop panicking. Do a Google search right now. Type in “shops open on Christmas Day near me.” Look for the little “open now” tag.
Ben’s Banter
Or, use Google Maps. Search for “convenience store” or “pharmacy” and filter by hours. It’s like magic, but with less glitter.
Also, check local Facebook groups. Somebody will have posted, “Is the Starbucks on 4th street open?” The answers will be hilariously dramatic. “No, Martha, it’s closed. Go home.”
And hey, don’t forget liquor stores. In some states, they are strictly closed. In others, they open for a few hours like a glimmer of hope. Worth a shot, right?
The Bottom Line (Keep Your Expectations Low)
Look, you’re not going to find a full-scale Target. That’s a fever dream. You’re not going to buy wrapping paper at 8 PM.
What you will find is a gas station burrito, a smile from a tired cashier, and maybe a bag of kettle chips. And honestly? That’s a Christmas miracle in its own way.
So put on your shoes. Grab your keys. Accept that you might pay $6 for a tiny carton of milk. Embrace the chaos. Merry Christmas, you butter-forgetting goblin. You’re gonna be fine.
P.S. If you find a shop open that’s really random—like a tire shop or a bookstore—please text me. I need to hear about your pagan luck.
