The driver is now facing charges that include trafficking, possession with intent, and—I’m guessing—stupidity with a felony. He’s sitting in a county jail, probably practicing his “I was just holding it for a friend” speech.
The cocaine? It’ll be incinerated or stored in a giant evidence locker, where it will slowly become a museum piece for future cops-in-training. “And this, class, is what happens when you try to outsmart a bored traffic officer on a Tuesday.”
So next time you see a suspicious car with a broken taillight, don’t honk. Just smile and wave. Because somewhere, a cop is probably thinking, “I hope this guy has a million bucks in his trunk—because I’ve got nothing else to do today.”
And remember: if you’re going to smuggle drugs, at least fix your taillight. It’s basic courtesy.
