Let’s be real: airport parking can feel like a financial black hole, but Stansted’s system is refreshingly transparent. The Express Drop Off costs £7 for ten minutes. If you need longer, it jumps to £1 per minute. Sounds scary? It’s not. Most people are in and out in under four minutes. For the frugal traveler, there’s a free drop-off option at the Long Stay car park, followed by a complimentary bus ride to the terminal. It adds 15 minutes, but it saves you the cash for a nice airport meal.
For pick-ups, the smart move is to use the MEET & GREET service. You drive straight to the terminal, hand over your keys, and your car is parked for you. When your friends arrive, they walk out and you drive away together. It’s a little luxury that erases the stress of navigating multi-storey ramps. Cost-wise, it’s about £25 for the first hour—steep, but worth it for a triumphant reunion.
