You might remember them most from the iconic "Miami Twice" specials. Oh, that was a rollercoaster. The Driscolls hunting Del Boy across the Atlantic? Pure television gold.
What the Only Fools and Horses actors who played the Driscoll brothers
Suddenly, the joke was on them. Seeing tough guys get out-schemed in a foreign country? That’s satisfying. It’s like watching a bully trip over their own shoelaces in slow motion.
And the final showdown? Del Boy pretending to be a gangster? Absolutely bonkers—but it worked because we needed to see the Driscolls lose. Big time.
The Lesson They Teach Us
Here’s a fun comparison: the Driscolls are like that one grumpy neighbor who yells at kids for playing. They’re necessary for the balance of the universe—or at least, the universe of Peckham.
They remind us that not every problem can be solved with a cheeky smile and a bottle of cheap champagne. Sometimes, you need a little fear to appreciate the laughter.
And honestly? They’re kind of cool in a scary way. Tony Driscoll’s dead-eyed stare? That’s a villain who knows they’re the bad guy—and loves it.
