You’ll eat a rubber chicken with a side of “mashed potatoes” that look like play-dough. Then you’ll watch two movies you swore you’d never see. I’ve watched Paddington 2 four times on this route. It’s fine. I’ve accepted it.
Some brave souls try to sleep. They lean their heads back, mouths agape, looking like dental patients who forgot to dress. Meanwhile, the baby in row 32 has decided that 3 AM (London time) is the perfect hour for a shriek concert.
The Time Zone Crunch
Here’s the kicker: you leave Atlanta at 8 PM Eastern, and you land in London at 8 AM the next day. You’ve basically time-traveled to an alternate dimension where breakfast is served on a plane. Your body says “It’s midnight,” but the outside world is chirping, “Good morning, jet-lagged friend!”
Direct (non-stop) flights from Atlanta to London - schedules
It’s like when you pull an all-nighter for a test, but instead of biology, you’re studying the architecture of the plane’s lavatory. Fun fact: the flush button is never where you think it is.
