What I love most is the energy. Seven Dials Market has this hum, like everyone’s in on a secret. And Lucky’s is the loudest table at that party. You’ll see couples on first dates, awkwardly trying to eat a massive sandwich without looking like goblins. You’ll see groups of lads high-fiving after surviving the Reaper. You’ll see a lone person (me, sometimes) just staring into the middle distance, processing the heat.
It’s not fancy. It’s not quiet. But it’s real. And in a city full of overpriced, pretentious food, that’s a breath of fresh, spicy air.
