Great question. Instead of stripping minerals out of your water like a traditional softener, this system uses a process called template-assisted crystallization (TAC). Basically, it transforms the hardness minerals—calcium and magnesium—into harmless, tiny crystals that float right through your pipes.
Think of it like this: instead of trying to erase the chalk from the blackboard, you’re turning the chalk into dust that just blows away. These crystals can’t stick to anything, so bye-bye limescale buildup on your faucets, showerheads, and water heater.
You still get the minerals in your water for taste, but without the nasty crusty residue. It’s like having your cake and eating it too, right?
