Kaia hasn’t abandoned modeling entirely. For Spring/Summer 2026, she’s the new face of a luxury brand that makes jackets out of upcycled airplane seatbelts. It’s called “Aero-Couture,” and the campaign photos were shot while she was dangling from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.
Why a helicopter? The creative director said, and I quote, “She needed to look like a cool, terrified angel.” The photos are stunning, but you can see her knuckles are white. That’s commitment. Or extreme stubbornness.

Also, she’s walking the runway for the first time in three years, but she’s doing it backwards. The whole show is designed like a surrealist dream where models walk in reverse while a DJ plays slowed-down versions of pop songs. It’s called “Retrograde Runway,” and it’s already sold out.

Here’s the kicker: Kaia is secretly training to be a licensed falconer. She adopted a Harris’s hawk named “Rupert” during the pandemic, and now she’s taking him to set with her. Rupert has his own Instagram account with 200,000 followers.
According to a leaked interview, she says handling Rupert helps her “get into character” for intense scenes. Who knew that to unlock your acting potential, you needed to let a hawk sit on your head? Nature is healing.
