If you’re still tense, try bearing down slightly like you’re trying to pee or pass gas. This gently opens the vaginal canal and makes the tampon slide out with zero resistance. Sounds weird? Works like a charm. Your muscles are your best friend here, not your enemy.
The grip and the angle.
Don’t just yank the string straight down. That creates friction against the top of your vaginal wall. Instead, pull the string at a slight downward angle—toward your tailbone, not your belly button. Imagine you’re guiding it out along the natural curve of your vagina.
If the string is slippery or missing (been there, cried there), don’t panic. Squat down, insert a clean finger, and gently hook the tampon from the bottom. Push down with your pelvic muscles while you pull. It will come out. I promise you won’t need a pair of tweezers or a search party.
