Grab an ice pack—or a bag of frozen peas if you’re feeling fancy. Wrap it in a thin towel (because putting ice directly on your skin is like kissing a snowman’s nose without the consent). Apply it for about 10 minutes to calm the inflammation and numb the area.
If you don’t have ice, a cold spoon from the fridge works like a charm. Just don’t use the spoon you were about to eat cereal with, unless you like your Cheerios with a side of panic.
The cold is your new best friend. It tells the bite, “Hey, chill out,” and it actually listens—unlike your cat at 3 AM.
