You cannot rush this. I know, you want to light it right now. But damp herbs just smolder and stink.
Hang your bundles upside down in a dark, dry spot. A closet or a corner of the kitchen works perfectly.
Leave them alone for two to three weeks. Yes, weeks. That’s the boring part. But the payoff is worth it.
How to Know They’re Ready
Give a leaf a gentle squeeze. If it crumbles like a moody teenager’s patience, you’re good. If it bends, wait longer.
Give them a sniff. They should smell concentrated and earthy, not like wet grass clippings.
Once dry, trim the stems if they look scraggly. You’re an artist now—presentation matters.
