Growing a peach from seed is the gardening equivalent of adopting a random cat from a dumpster: you don’t know what you’ll get, but you’ll love it anyway. It’s cheap (free, actually), it’s weird, and it’s a brilliant party trick. Next time you eat a peach, just say “I might plant this.” People will look at you like you’ve sprouted a second head. Own it.
So go ahead, save that pit. It’s a tiny, hairy time capsule that wants to become a tree. And if you mess up? The grocery store still exists. But if you succeed? You’ll have a story that grows sweeter every year—just like the peaches.
