Wait—are your headlights really on, or is it just a courtesy light inside the car? Open your driver’s door and peek at the dome light. If it’s stuck on because the door didn’t close all the way, that’s your problem. Give the door a good, firm slam—like you’re angry at it for lying to you. (I’m not judging; I’ve done it.)
Same goes for the trunk light. If the trunk isn’t latched properly, the light inside stays on forever, draining your battery while you sleep. Pop the trunk, check the latch, and shove a finger into the switch to press it manually. If the light goes off, you’ve found your drama queen.
