Krispy Kreme prices shift by region. A dozen in Manhattan might hit $18, while a store in suburban Texas keeps it closer to $12. Think of it as the doughnut differential—a small price for geographic bragging rights.
But here’s the real math: a single specialty donut at a hipster café often costs $4.50. At Krispy Kreme, you get a dozen original glazed—still warm, still ethereal—for less than two of those artisanal ones. The economics of happiness are clear.
