When Sara joined Dragons’ Den in 2019, she became the youngest-ever dragon, but she’s about as intimidating as a Yorkshire terrier in a bow tie. She once invested £50,000 in a company that sells beeswax food wraps, because she genuinely believed in reducing plastic waste. That’s the kind of person she is—she’ll back a business selling wooden spoons if it makes her smile. Her net worth might be huge, but she still talks like someone you’d have a cuppa with while discussing the price of milk. She once admitted she spends her money on “handbags and holidays,” which is refreshingly normal compared to dragons who buy private jets to fly to their other private jets.

The “Accidental” Millionaire
Sara doesn’t act like a millionaire. In interviews, she’ll joke about how she once lost a contract because she was “too busy folding paper.” It’s the same energy you have when you arrive late to a meeting because you were organizing your sock drawer. She built her wealth by making something useful—not by launching a dodgy cryptocurrency or selling snake oil. Her story makes you wonder: Could you do it too? Probably not, but you can definitely buy a pack of her craft stickers and pretend you’re in business.
