During those 8 weeks, you'll be learning about everything from emergency procedures to first aid and conflict resolution. It's a lot to take in, but don't worry, the instructors are top-notch and will guide you through it all. And, let's be real, who doesn't want to learn how to operate a fire extinguisher or evacuate a plane in 90 seconds – it's like a real-life action movie.
But it's not all about the serious stuff – you'll also learn about Delta's culture and values, which is all about providing excellent customer service and making sure passengers have an amazing experience. And, of course, you'll get to practice your in-flight announcements and seatbelt demonstrations until you can do them in your sleep. Just don't try to do a seatbelt demo on a friend or family member – they might not appreciate it.
After completing the initial training, you'll have to undergo recurrent training every year to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and regulations. It's like a refresher course to make sure you're always on top of your game. And, let's be honest, it's also a great excuse to get out of town for a few days and enjoy some airline-provided meals.
