First, go with a squad. Solo bravery is overrated. Bring a friend who will hold your hand when you’re too scared to move, or a sibling you can push forward as a human shield. The group dynamic is half the fun—watching your toughest mate jump at a balloon pop is priceless.

Second, dress for comfort, not Instagram. I once wore a flimsy costume to Fright Night and spent the whole night shivering in a queue. You’ll be queuing outdoors for hours, so layers are your best friend. A hoodie with a fun Frankenstein patch is perfect. Leave the full zombie makeup to the actors.
And third, book your tickets early. These events sell out faster than a new Taylor Swift concert. The 2026 dates will likely go on sale in spring, and if you wait until October, you’ll be staring at a “Sold Out” sign and weeping into your autumnal latte. Set a reminder on your phone. I’m serious.
But is it too scary for normal people?
Here’s the honest truth: it’s as scary as you let it be. There are mazes rated for different fear levels, from “mildly creepy” to “I need a new pair of trousers.” If you’re a scaredy-cat like me, stick to the lighter attractions first, like the Ghost Train or the dark rides with spooky makeovers. You can always dial it up once you’ve built up courage. The park also has quiet zones and staff who are trained to help if you genuinely feel overwhelmed.

Think of it like trying a spicy dish at a restaurant. You don’t start with a Carolina Reaper; you start with a jalapeño popper. Same principle here. Start with a scare zone, then move to a maze. By the end of the night, you’ll be strutting past clowns like you own the place.
