I know that feeling. You’re afraid your Spanish isn’t “good enough” or that you’ll sound silly. Let me tell you a secret: they don’t care. They hear every accent from Puerto Rico to Texas.
You could mix up “pago” and “papa” and they’ll still figure it out. (Just don’t offer them a potato for your car payment. That won’t work.)
The point is: you deserve clear communication. You are paying for a car. You have a right to understand what you owe. Full stop.
When It All Goes Wrong (Unlikely, But Possible)
Let’s say the robot is drunk and the website is frozen. What then? Call back. Or, use the “Chat” feature on the website. It also works in Spanish sometimes.
Still stuck? Ask for a supervisor. In Spanish, that’s “supervisor” (easy, right?). Be firm but polite. Say, “Necesito ayuda en español, por favor.”
They will find someone. It might take a minute, but they will. You are not asking for a unicorn. You are asking for basic customer service.
