Imagine your favourite childhood summer, but with central heating and a proper kettle. The accommodation here is all about comfort without the fuss. You can pick from cozy caravans that feel like a little house away from home, or go a bit more spacious with a lodge if you’re treating yourself. I once stayed in a caravan where the kids claimed the bunk beds within seconds, and my husband and I just sat on the sofa, grinning because we didn’t have to make the beds.
And the best part? The park is designed so you don’t have to overthink your day. You wake up, have a slow breakfast (yes, there’s a proper toaster), and then you just wander. One minute you’re by the indoor pool, the next you’re grabbing a coffee from the on-site shop. It flows like a lazy river, and that’s the whole point.
The Entertainment Factor (No Fancy Shoes Required)
Let’s talk about the evening entertainment, because this is where Craig Tara really shines. The main complex has a lively, buzzy atmosphere that feels like a school disco for grown-ups, but with better lighting and actual drinks. You’ll find a mix of live acts, comedy shows, and the legendary kids’ club that gives parents a solid hour of peace. I remember one night, a magician pulled my dad up on stage, and he accidentally made a balloon animal that looked like a floppy eared dog. Everyone howled with laughter, and it wasn’t even the planned joke.
If you’re not in the mood for the big show, there are quieter corners. You can grab a table by the window, watch the sunset over the sea, and just chat. It’s the kind of place where you can be as social or as antisocial as you like, and nobody judges you for either.
