Let it sit for about 30 minutes to an hour, then scrub it with a soft brush and rinse with warm water. And, voilà! Your mortar and pestle should be good as new!
But, what about the pestle itself? How do you clean that? Well, it's actually pretty easy - just use a soft cloth and some mild soap to wipe it down. And, if you're feeling extra adventurous, you can even try using a toothbrush to get into all the nooks and crannies!
