Ah, the shiny new Elizabeth line. It’s basically the Olympic athlete of Tube lines. It has wide carriages, loads of space, and a more relaxed policy. You can take a non-folding bike pretty much any time, except during the usual peak-hour madness. It feels like riding first class while the rest of the Tube is cattle class.
If you ever get the chance to take your bike on the Elizabeth line, do it. Strap it in, sit back, and pretend you’re in a high-speed train through the Alps, except you’re just going from Paddington to Abbey Wood. The dream is real, and it’s air-conditioned.
