BTS was formed in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment, a record label in Seoul. The group's name, BTS, stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which translates to "Bulletproof Boy Scouts" - yeah, it's a mouthful! But, despite the weird name, these guys have become a global phenomenon!
The members of BTS - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - all came from different parts of South Korea to audition for Big Hit Entertainment. And, fun fact: they all lived together in a tiny dorm in Seoul when they were first starting out - talk about bonding!
Today, BTS is known for their high-energy performances, catchy songs, and inspiring lyrics. They've won countless awards, including Billboard Music Awards and Melon Music Awards (which are like the Korean Grammys, basically). And, they've even broke records for most viewed music videos on YouTube - yeah, they're kind of a big deal!
