Most likely, we’ll get an update tomorrow morning. The coroner will do their thing. The results might take a while—like, weeks. And then, poof, the story will fade, replaced by something else. A cat stuck in a tree. A new Lidl opening. You know how it goes.
But for today? Today, Ashford is holding its breath. People are walking a little faster past the cordon. They’re sharing suspicious looks with strangers. And I’m sitting here, halfway through my second coffee, refreshing the news feed like it’s my job. Because it kind of is. And because I’m nosy.
So, friend, here’s my hot take: stay tuned. This is one of those stories that could go absolutely nowhere, or it could explode into something massive. Either way, we’ll find out together. Grab a biscuit, keep your phone charged, and for the love of all that is holy, don’t believe everything you read on Facebook. Especially if it’s from that one guy who always posts about alien landings in Hythe.
Until then, rest in peace to whoever was found today. And to the rest of us? Let’s just be grateful our day only involved coffee and gossip.
