So, how long is the London Tube strike on for? On paper? 24 to 48 hours. In reality? It’s a Schrödinger's Cat situation. The strike is both over and still ruining your Tuesday. The unions call it off, the drivers go back to work, but the service remains “severely disrupted” until they can figure out where they parked all the trains.
My advice? Ignore the official end time. Add one full day to whatever they tell you. Pack snacks. Download the Uber app. And remember: every Londoner who is stuck in traffic with you is having the exact same, shared, hilarious nightmare. We’re all in this smelly, overcrowded bus together. At least the strike gives us a good story to whinge about later.
