If you’re desperate, use a Post Office Locator app. It’s a digital treasure hunt. You’ll discover a counter inside a tiny grocery shop that’s open. It smells like pickles and hope, but it works.
Another pro tip: buy a book of stamps now. Don’t wait. Treat stamps like gold. Hoard them in your sock drawer. Future you will be grateful when a bank holiday sneaks up like a ninja.
Are post offices open during the coronation bank holiday Monday on May
The Strange Case of Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland has its own bank holidays. They get the 12th of July off (it’s a big deal there). Post offices in Belfast might be open while the rest of the UK is closed. Confused? So is everyone.
And let’s not forget August Bank Holiday. It’s a Monday in late August. Why? No one really knows. It’s the universe’s way of saying “stop working, go to the beach.” But the post office is closed, so you can’t mail a postcard from said beach.
