Every colony needs a leader, but you and Dan are not the queen ants. You’re the management, not the monarchy. The Code of Conduct demands you both respect the ants’ natural hierarchy. You can’t just order them around like tiny employees. "Hey, Bob the Ant, stop eating the sugar cube and start polishing the dirt!" It doesn’t work like that—ants have union rules, I think.
Instead, you work with the process. You provide the snacks, and they provide the entertainment. If you try to micromanage, Dan will have to stage an intervention. He’ll say, “Dude, you’re stressing out the carpenter ants. They work better with a little more calm and fewer pep talks about synergy.” Trust me, nobody wants a demoralized ant workforce.
