Wait, don’t panic. Is it not on tonight at 7:30? Check the daytime schedule. Sometimes the new episode aired earlier in the day on BBC One.
Or it’s on the iPlayer. Yes, all episodes drop early now. You might have missed the online release. Your “tonight” slot could be empty because you already watched it.
If you’re a digital viewer, this is fine. But if you’re a loyal “watch it live” person, you feel left out. Like you missed the party. Don’t worry, I’m still a live-watcher too. We have a support group.
The Bank Holiday Hiccup
Bank holidays mess everything up. The BBC assumes you’re at a barbecue. Or stuck in traffic. So they cancel or repeat an old episode.

And you hate repeats. You want new drama, not a classic from 2015. Sorry, but the schedule gods are against us. They think we’re having fun outside. Silly them.
So, check if today is a random Monday off. It’s a trick. A very British trick. “Have a nice holiday,” they say, “and no soap for you!”
