Is NC State’s location perfect? No. Traffic on the Beltline can make you scream. And parking? Let’s not get started. But overall, you get a huge, classic college campus inside a thriving, modern city. It’s rare.
You can walk to class in the morning, grab boba tea in the afternoon, and see a live band at the Red Hat Amphitheater at night. All in the same day. All as a broke student.
So, would I recommend it? Yeah. If you want a school where you don’t feel trapped, where you can explore and grow and eat your weight in barbecue—NC State’s location is a serious home run. You’ll love it. Probably.
